Structural and hydrological design of permeable concrete pavements

چکیده
Permeable pavements are used to mitigate urban flooding. However, conventional concrete permeable have low compressive strength and prone clogging, which degrades performance reduces service life. A new type of pavement, high-strength clogging resistant pavement (CRP), has recently been developed that overcomes many limitations pavements. This paper presents a design methodology for CRP takes into account both structural hydrological considerations. is in 12 case studies compare with The results highlight several advantages demonstrate porosity (?5%) can cope severe rainfall run-off volumes. suitability using light heavy load bearing applications demonstrated. research also shows the use allows considerable reductions depth compared reduced material costs.

Rubblization is one of the surface preparation techniques before placing a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay that involves breaking the Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement into pieces. This paper describes the structural assessment related to the long term performance of rubblized concrete pavements in Iowa. The structural performance of seven representative in-service rubblized concrete paveme...
متن کاملJoint Deterioration in Concrete Pavements
Concrete pavements located in cold climates have been experiencing premature joint deterioration. Entrapment of moisture in the joints saturates the surrounding concrete, rendering it susceptible to freeze–thaw damage. To identify and to isolate the variables that might be causing this localized deterioration, concrete cores were obtained from deteriorated and non-deteriorated sections of US 35...
